Rumba flows through Jocelyn Balu's veins, like beer on the countertops of Kinshasa's bistros. Following the inscription of Congolese rumba on UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2021, Jocelyn Balu and his group take us on a journey through the feverish Kinshasa of the 40s to 70s, the golden age of Congolese rumba, for the pleasure of our ears, and also to make our loins undulate. Singer, composer and arranger Jocelyn Balu grew up in the prison district of Kinshasa. He began his career at the age of 6 as a soloist in a traditional Gospel choir. In 2006, when he was just 19, he won the first Prix du Gospel with the group Maisha. In October 2023 , Elly Paris released the EP "Inconstante". The artist and songwriter surprised her fans, offering them six new original songs written by her and in partnership with other artists. It is an EP that brings the essence of Elly Paris as a person. From your change of mood, ideas and thoughts about your life, sexuality and decisions. Your certainties that soon become uncertainties, which shake your state of mind. A “Loop” between the woman she wanted to be and the woman she really is. The lack of control over your own emotions. And, in the sounds there is also inconstancy that varies from stylized warm to drill.
